Women's Cross Country Places 25th at Nationals

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The University of Saint Mary women's cross country team took 25th place with 611 total points in their fifth ever appearance at the NAIA National Championships, on a frigid Friday morning.

Kaitlyn Shoemaker led the women's side with an eighth place finish, earning NAIA All-American status. Her time of 17:42 was a program record on the women's side. Brittany White-Dold followed with a 150th place finish in 19:07 and Divina Flores came in 190th at 19:25.

Mariah Stein followed at 19:45 in 240th place, while Shelby Stouffer came in 258th in a time of 20:00. Emma Campbell placed 298th in 20:37 and Kaelyn Smith placed 316th at 21:30.

Oregon Tech was the overall team champion scoring 126 points. Madonna University took second place with 132 points and Taylor University placed third with 134.

Point Park University's Anna Shields was the individual champion running the race in a time of 17:15.
