ST.LOUIS, MO. - The University of Saint Mary men's and women's cross country teams made a powerful statement at the Brian T. Simpson Invite, held at Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, MO. Both teams captured first place in their respective races, showcasing depth and talent across the board.
Men's Team Triumphs
The men's team delivered an impressive performance, placing multiple runners in the top 10. Leading the charge was Dominick Beine, who secured the individual title with a winning time of 24:54.37. Beine's victory set the tone for the Spires, who were backed by strong runs from Aleksandr Krikov (3rd, 25:03.17) and Ryan Heline (7th, 25:21.48).

The depth of the men's team was evident, as they had 10 runners finishing under 27 minutes, which proved crucial in securing the top spot on the podium.
Women's Team Shines
The Spires were led by a 1-2 finish from sisters Reagan and Riley Hiebert. Reagan took the individual title, crossing the line with a time of 17:33.50. Riley followed closely behind, finishing in 17:47.43.
The women's squad continued to showcase their depth, with five additional runners placing in the top 10. Josie Tyrrell (4th, 18:06.80), Monse Guerrero-Chapula (7th, 18:39.53), Carlie Gregg (8th, 18:41.50), Kate Madsen (9th, 18:43.13), and Shannen Dorn (10th, 18:44.06) rounded out a solid team performance.
