Hillsboro, Kan.- The University of Saint Mary Men's Tennis team traveled to play Tabor College in a team dual on Saturday, resulting in a 4-3 win. They are now 2-9 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
Doubles
The Spires swept the three doubles matches for the lone point in the dual. Tracy Llamas and Cortlyn Wolfe set the tone for Saint Mary, beating their opponents 6-1., and Shannon Finn and Mia Rojas Secured the team point by beating their doubles opponents 6-1 as well.
Singles
Saint Mary continued their strong showing by winning all six of their singles matches. Finn got the first win for the Spires, beating her opponent 6-1 twice. Rachel Rothmeyer had an exceptional performance against her singles opponent, beating her 6-2 and 6-3. Llamas, Wolfe, Mia, and Arsys Rojas all got wins to help close the door for a 7-0 win over the Bluejays.
