Columbia, Ga.- The University of Saint Mary Women's Swimming team sent four swimmers (Olivia Ringel, Reagan Salsbury, Neena Lorenz, and Ayla Pierce) to the NAIA National Championship Meet that started on Thursday in Columbia, Georgia.
On day one, the four qualifiers from Saint Mary competed in the 200yd Freestyle Relay on Thursday, recording a time of 1:43.99 and finishing in 15th place. Pierce had one of the highlights of the weekend, taking fifth place in the 100yd butterfly event with a time of 57.30, becoming the first-ever All-American in program history.
The Spires continued to score points as a team all weekend and finished inside the top 20 with 36 team points.
