McPherson, Kan.- The University of Saint Mary Men's Tennis team traveled to play McPherson College in their season finale, resulting in a 7-0 loss.
Doubles
Saint Mary was swept in the doubles matches to open the team dual. All three pairs lost 6-1, surrendered the lone doubles point, and entered the singles matches down 1-0.
Singles
Kevin Eutsey played his opponent tough throughout his match, coming close in set one 6-3. Evan Martiz also came close to taking a set from his opponent to force a tie-breaking set but also fell 6-3 in his second set. The next four Spires dropped their matches to McPherson, making the final score 7-0.
The Spires finished the year with an overall record of 5-16 and a conference record of 4-7, improving exponentially from last year's record.
