LEAVENWORTH, Kan. – The University of Saint Mary Cheer Team defended their conference crown in dominant fashion, winning the 2025 KCAC Cheer Championship on their home floor inside the Ryan Sports Center.

The Spires put on a stellar performance, posting the highest scores in both rounds of competition. After securing an 83.96 in prelims, Saint Mary delivered an even stronger routine in the finals, scoring 87.61 to clinch the overall title with 86.70 points.

Saint Mary edged out a tough field that included runner-up Friends University (80.73) and third-place Avila University (72.26). The championship marks the second straight KCAC title for the Spires, solidifying their place at the top of the conference.

With the KCAC trophy in hand, the Spires now turn their attention to the NAIA Nationals in Ypsilanti, Michigan, on March 28-29, where they will compete against the nation's best.
