Leavenworth, KS. – The University of Saint Mary's Valorant Gold team kicked off their ECAC playoff run with a decisive victory last night, April 1st, defeating Russell Sage College 2-0 in the quarterfinals. The best-of-three series saw the Spires dominate on both maps.
On Ascent, USM secured a 13-7 win, led by Luke Sesler's impressive 21 eliminations, while Jace Willis contributed a team-high 15 assists. The momentum continued on Haven, where the Spires closed out the series with a 13-10 victory. Garrison Woodall led the charge with 24 eliminations, followed closely by Luke Denney with 20. Shamar Bryant topped the server with 8 assists.
With this strong quarterfinal win, USM Valorant Gold moves on to the ECAC semifinals, where they will face undefeated Southeastern University on Tuesday, April 8th. The Spires are looking to continue their playoff success and advance to the finals.
