Graduate Assistant Coach Matthew Hall is a former USM Swimmer & Saint Mary Alum. After graduating in 2025 with an Exercise Science Degree, Matt started his service with the National Guard in Oklahoma where he also coached Age Groupers and High School Student-Athletes for Sooner Swim Club & Phoenix Swim Club.

During his time as a Spire Swimmer, Matt was dominant in Mid-Distance Freestyle & Butterfly. He still holds the team record in the 200 Freestyle, 500 Freestyle, and 1650 Freestyle events. He served as a National Participant his freshman year and showed his leadership and commitment to the program being voted Captain his Senior Year. Matthew also showed great versatility having top 5 times in the 100 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly, & 200 Butterfly events.

During graduate school, Matt will be working toward his Masters in Education while still actively serving in the National Guard. He will be a great asset to the Butterfly group and our great Fundraising program. We are excited to welcome Matt!
