The Saint Mary volleyball team was beat by Ottawa in three sets on Friday. The Spires now have a 6-10 record on the season, and reside in 7th place of the KCAC Standings with an 8-9 record in conference play. Ottawa is now 17-0 in KCAC matches.

Saint Mary would battle in each set, but Ottawa took the match by scores of 25-18, 25-20, and 25-19. Maleka Benjamin had a team high eight kills for the Spires while Whitney Rock had 19 assists.

On defense, Allyssa Koki had 26 digs. Annie Beck and Holly McDowell each had 10. Savannah Fillion led Saint Mary in block assists with eight.

Saint Mary resumes action tonight at 7pm hosting McPherson. Saint Mary fell in three sets in the teams' first matchup this season. McPherson is 10-7 in KCAC play.
