The Saint Mary women's basketball team won their 15th game of the season and their ninth straight game with a 66-60 win at McPherson on Thursday. The Spires are now 15-11 on the season and 13-6 in KCAC play. The 15 total wins is the most in program history for the women's basketball team.
The Spires got off to a slow start as they trailed by 10 points at halftime, but Saint Mary would hold McPherson to just nine points in each of the third and fourth quarters. Saint Mary would force overtime where they pulled away for the six point victory.
Saint Mary will be back in action on Saturday when they host Ottawa at 1pm. The Spires will be hunting their 10th straight win. Ottawa topped Saint Mary earlier this season 93-82.
