Spires Men's Soccer Falls Late to Tabor, 1-0

HILLSBORO, Kan. – The University of Saint Mary men's soccer team faced a tough opponent at Tabor College Friday evening, falling 1-0.

Saint Mary is 3-7 overall and 1-4 in KCAC on the year.

GAME FLOW
The Spires in the first half had a total of four shots and one on goal by Rodney Smith in the 33rd minute. The Blue Jays had six shots and one on goal in the first half.

Blake Kuehl added two more saves for the Spires in the second half at the 50th and 51st minute. The Spires had another shot at scoring with Kaleb Hightower, but the ball went just high of the goal. Kuehl added two more saves in the 72nd and 75th minute of the game. The Blue Jays scored their first goal in the 86th minute coming close to the end of the game. The Spires tried to answer back with a shot by Tonatiuh Morales, but it was saved by the goalkeeper.
