Men's Basketball Falls To Friends

Leavenworth, Kan. – The University of Saint Mary men's basketball team fell short to Friends University Saturday night in Ryan Sports Center. The Spires are now (1-4, 1-1 KCAC).

GAME FLOW
The game would go back and forth in the first half, but the Spires trailed 40-36 at halftime. Friends quickly built their lead to 10 before the Spires inched their way back within four points. Friends would hit some big shots to extend back to a double digit lead. Three Spires were in double digits that kept them in the game. The Spires were unable to come back and fell to Friends 91-81.

  • Raylon Howard had a career-high 24 points, eight rebounds and four assists
  • The Spires shot 50.8 percent from the field
  • Tevin Killeen had 12 points and three rebounds
  • Teyvon Lundy had 14 points, four rebounds and four assists

The Spires are back on the road where they will travel to Bartlesville, Okla. to take on the sixth team in the nation Oklahoma Wesleyan University. Tip-off is Tuesday, Nov 20 at 8 p.m.
