LEAVENWORTH, Kan. – The University of Saint Mary men's basketball team used a big second half run to pull out an 81-72 win over Sterling College Tuesday evening inside the Ryan Sports Center. Tevin Killeen scored a career high 25 points in the victory.
Saint Mary is now 2-5 overall and 2-2 in the KCAC.
GAME FLOW
Both teams traded baskets throughout the first half as neither team could grab a big lead. Sterling would go up at halftime by a small margin of 36-33. Sterling would extend their lead in the second half to 46-39, but the Spires started to make a comeback. Killeen and Raylon Howard connected on two free throws and a basket. Killeen would later hit a basket and free throw to give Saint Mary a 50-49 lead.
The Spires scored 11 straight points taking a 61-50 lead and eventually held on in the end for the win.

- Five Spires scored in double-figures on the night.
- Rucker and Howard each grabbed seven rebounds.
- Saint Mary shot 55.1 percent from the field and Sterling posted just a 36.4 percentage.
