LEAVENWORTH, Kan. – The University of Saint Mary men's basketball team had a hot start today against McPherson College and held onto the lead, scoring a season high 95 points in a 95-81 win over the Bulldogs in the McPherson Sports Center.
Saint Mary is now 5-7 overall and 5-4 in the KCAC.
GAME FLOW
The Spires got off to a hot start in the first half grabbing a 32-14 lead at the 8:38 mark. Saint Mary would keep its foot on the gas pedal and take a 55-37 lead at halftime. McPherson would start to chip away at the lead, but the Spires continued their offensive start and led 69-55 at the 11:13 mark of the game.
The Bulldogs cut the lead to less than 10 points after that, but Saint Mary held onto the lead the entire game. The Spires came out with the win, notching a season high in points.

- Teyvon Lundy scored a team high 22 points.
- Dan Hailey led the team with seven rebounds as the Spires had 27 on the day.
- Saint Mary shot 57.4 percent from the field.
- The Spires hit a season high 14 three-pointers and had a 58.3 percentage from beyond the arc.
