Salina, Kan. – The University of Saint Mary women's basketball team was unable to get back-to-back road wins and extend a five game winning streak against Kansas Wesleyan University Wednesday night, after falling 74-55.
The Spires are now (2-7 overall and 1-5 KCAC).
GAME FLOW
The Spires had a quick turnaround after defeating York College Monday night on the road, but were unable to come back from a 14-point halftime deficit to snag back-to-back wins in conference play. Despite a better shooting night for Saint Mary, and a career-high 18 points from Danielle Cassady, Kansas Wesleyan led in almost every category and was too much for the Spires to find their way back.
KEY STATISTICS
- The Spires shot 35.4 percent from the field.
- Sienna Brown tied her career-high with 15 points, while adding nine rebounds
- Saint Mary forced Kansas Wesleyan to 19 turnovers
