LEAVENWORTH, Kan. – The University of Saint Mary women's basketball team dropped another game Saturday night inside the Ryan Sports Center against a tough (RV)Embry-Riddle team. The final score was 84-48.
The Spires are 0-4 overall on the season.
Embry-Riddle grabbed a 17-6 lead in the first five minutes of the game. The Spires trailed 21-9 before Jaleia Rice and Dakota Corle scored to cut the deficit down to 11 to end the period. Saint Mary would fall further behind in the second quarter as they shot 4-for-18 from the floor. The Spires trailed 46-23 at halftime.
(RV)Embry-Riddle expanded their double-digit lead and came out with the win.
Corle led the team with 14 points and grabbed six rebounds. Rebecca Gilpin posted 11 points and had three rebounds. Kaylie Simonds dished out three of the Spires 11 assists.

The Spires return to action on Nov. 13, where they will take on Tabor College to begin conference play. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
