GAME FLOW
The Spires came out looking for revenge against the Swedes after losing to them inside Ryan Sports Center early in the season. Paige Scheckel set the tone after she put the first points of the game on the board with a basket and the foul for the three point play. It was a hard fought game that was back and forth majority of the game. The largest lead of the game was eight points before a run by the Spires and a basket by Rachel Newquist made it a one possession game. With just over a minute left in the game, Saint Mary trailed 57-55. Newquist hit one of two free-throws to make it a one point game to put pressure on the home team. After a missed bucket by the Swedes, Scheckel snagged the defensive rebound and scored a basket to go up 58-57 with eight seconds remaining in the game. The Spires were unable to hold on as the Swedes hit the game winning shot.

Brown led the team in scoring with 21 points and Scheckel was second in scoring with 12 points. Newquist had a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds. Saint Mary out rebounded Bethany 40-30 and dominated inside as they scored 52 points in the paint.
