Leavenworth, KAN. – The University of Saint Mary women's soccer team cruised by Manhattan Christian College 10-0 Tuesday afternoon at Berkel Memorial Stadium. After their second shutout, the Spires are now 2-1 on the season.
The Spires scored four goals in the first half. Emily Wilson had two goals, Bailey Zinser and Amanda Martin each had one goal.
Saint Mary would stay hot in the second half as they scored six unanswered goals. Morgan Young and Kadejah Ross each had two goals. Anna Soetaert and Brittany Ortiz each had one goal.
Saint Mary took 45 shots with 22 on goal and had five assists. Manhattan Christian College did not take a shot throughout the entire game.
The Spires return to action this Saturday, where they host Morningside College at Berkel Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
