DALLAS, Texas – The University of Saint Mary men's basketball team eclipsed 100 points for the first time this season and ended a three game losing streak, with a 113-62 win over Dallas Christian College Saturday afternoon.
The Spires are now 8-6 overall on the season.
Saint Mary had a huge 19-point lead at halftime, leading Dallas Christian 54-35 at the break. The Spires held Dallas Christian to under 30 points in the second half, outscoring the opposition 59-27 in the second half.
A strong shooting night for the Spires ended with the team totaling a 60.0 field goal percentage, while Dallas Christian managed just a 32.7 percentage from the floor. The Spires also hit 13 three-point field goals for the second time this season going 13-of-31.
Five players scored in double-figures for the Spires led by a team high 24 points from Raylon Howard. Brad Hailey pitched in 19 points and Jesse Moss added 18 points on the night. Dallas Taylor (13) and Christian Carmichael (10) rounded out the group.

The Spires return to the Ryan Sports Center where they will host Southwestern College on Wednesday. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.
