HILLSBORO, KS. - The University of Saint Mary football team traveled to Tabor College on Saturday to take on the Bluejays for a KCAC conference matchup. After a long four quarters, the Spires and Bluejays were still tied up at 7 a piece, causing the game to go into overtime. Where the Spires would then go on to win 14-7 over the Bluejays.

The Spires started the game on fire in the first quarter. On the first drive of the day for the Spires, Jalil Grimes was able to connect with Jordan Hill for a 66 yard TOUCHDOWN reception. The Spires went on to lead through the end of the quarter. However, in the second quarter, the Bluejays responded with an 80 yard TOUCHDOWN recpetion from Gustavo Villarreal to Angel Sanchez. Tying the game up at 7-7 through the half. The game went on to be scoreless through the rest of the game, causing both teams to go into an overtime showdown. The Spires won the coinflip and got the ball first. Which would then lead to a Spire TOUCHDOWN from jalil Grimes on a 10 yard rush. Tabor then had their opportunity to tie the game and keep their hopes alive. However, the Spires defense was able to shut the Bluejays down. Bring the game to a 14-7 end and victory for the Spires.
