BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - The University of Saint Mary baseball team fell both games in a doubleheader against No. 7 Oklahoma Kansas Wesleyan University today, 11-4 and 8-3.
Saint Mary is now 6-32 overall and 5-19 in the KCAC.
GAME 1
In game one the Spires scored first thanks to a lead off home run by Steele Sadler, 1-0. The Eagles were able to capitalize and score three runs to gain the lead, 3-1. The Spires tried to chip away and were able to score one run in the top of the third, 4-2. The Spires trailed behind the Eagles but came up big in the top of the fifth cutting the deficit by one, 5-4. The Spires offense was unable to keep up with the advantageous Eagles, as the game continued. The Eagles defeated the Spires in game one 11-4.
Sadler lead the offense with two hits including a home run and two RBIs.
GAME 2
In game two the Spires jumped out to an early three run lead thanks to a couple of hits and an RBI single by Oscar Osorio, 3-0. Drake Pingel pitched efficiently and had the Eagles off balance till the bottom of the fifth when the Eagles were able to tie the game up, 3-3. The Spires struggled to add runs offensively as the Eagles retained the lead the rest of the game and defeated the Spires, 8-3.
Osorio lead the offense with two hits and an RBI.

Saint Mary is back in action tomorrow to take on Tabor College on the road at 1 pm.
