Kansas City, Mo. - The University of Saint Mary baseball team dominated Avila University today winning 21-9.
Saint Mary is now 7-33 overall and 6-20 in the KCAC.
The Spires started off the offense first in the bottom of the second scoring five runs to lead, 5-0. Heading into the bottom of the fourth Steele Sadler was able to get a hold of a pitch for a Spires home run extending their lead over the Eagles, 8-0. The Eagles were able to capitalize in the top of the fifth and scored three runs, 8-3. Yanthony Navarro pitched with conviction allowing just five runs for the Eagles. The Spires seemed to continue their offense with an eight spot in the bottom of the fifth extending their lead, 16-3. The Eagles tired to push offensively but the Spires were able to run rule the Eagles, 21-9.
Oscar Osorio led the offense with five hits and five RBIs.
