Leavenworth, Kan.- The University of Saint Mary Baseball team hosted Oklahoma Wesleyan for the final home game of the season on Saturday. Before the game, eight seniors were honored for the dedication and hard work they had given to the program.

The Spires finished their season 16-37 overall and 10-23 in the conference on the year.

Starter Ryan Bailes went five innings for the Spires giving up six runs on five hits and striking out two batters. The Eagles would get for runs in the top half of the first inning. Things would settle down after the first, and the score remained the same for the next three innings.

In the bottom half of the fourth, the Eagles would walk the bases loaded with one out, creating an opportunity for the Spires to score. The next two batters would strike out to end the inning, and the score would remain 4-0 heading into the fifth.

Oklahoma Wesleyan would get two more runs in the fifth, forcing Bailes out of the game, making the score 6-0. The Eagles would hit three home runs in the sixth and seventh innings to extend their lead to 16-0, ending the game in the seventh.
