The Spires delivered standout performances across multiple weight classes, earning victories through a mix of falls, technical falls, and a decisive decision win.

Key Highlights:

  • Eyvori Jacquez (103 lbs) set the tone early, pinning Alexis Hatfield of Avila at the 5:04 mark to secure a crucial six points for the Spires.
  • At 110 lbs, Alexsys Jacquez demonstrated technical superiority with a dominant 16-6 tech fall over Audrina Houston in just over four minutes.
  • Maci Pearson (131 lbs) continued the momentum with a quick pin of Chloe Taylor in 2:18, showcasing her aggressive and precise technique.
  • Araya Boday (138 lbs) followed with a stellar performance, earning a fall against Jaclyn Riedinger in just 1:36.
  • In one of the closest matches of the day, Allison King (145 lbs) edged out Sara Souresjhani in a hard-fought 10-8 decision, adding another three points to the Spires' total.
  • Amelia Frounfelter (160 lbs) delivered another pin for Saint Mary, taking down Susana Mondragon at the 2:20 mark.

Despite a forfeit at 117 lbs and a tough loss at 124 lbs, where Rachel Dismuke was pinned by Markayla Lottie, the Spires' depth and resilience ensured a decisive team victory.

The Spires will look ahead to their next competition against Doane (NE) on Saturday, December 7th.
