York, Neb.-- USM men's soccer faced another challenging road match against the Panthers of York University in York, Nebraska this afternoon. Despite a spirited performance, Saint Mary finished on the losing side with a final score of 3-2 in favor of the Panthers.
The action began with York taking an early lead when Tim Schafer netted a goal in the 8th minute. Saint Mary quickly responded, with graduate student from the Netherlands,
Isha Hughan scoring an equalizing goal in the 19th minute, assisted by Texas native,
Daniel Castro. However, the Panthers managed to pull ahead once again before halftime; Alex Hulme scored in the 31st minute, making the halftime score in favor of the home team 2-1.
The second half saw renewed energy from the Spires, leading to a penalty kick goal by senior leader
Bryan Riojas in the 47th minute, which once again tied the game. Nevertheless, Alex Hulme of York scored his second goal of the day in the 53rd minute, ultimately sealing the win for YU.

nd at Berkel Memorial with a 7:30 p.m. start time. The Spires aim to improve on their current record of 5-7-2 in the season and 3-5-1 in the conference.
