Saint Mary found themselves in an early hole, trailing by as many as 12 points in the first half. However, a determined defensive effort after halftime turned the tide, as the Spires held the Coyotes to just 13 points in the fourth quarter while surging ahead with a 24-point final frame.

Freshman Summer Wieneke provided a huge spark off the bench, knocking down 4-of-5 shots from beyond the arc and finishing with 16 points in just 19 minutes of action.
