York, Neb.—Spire dance left it all on the floor yesterday afternoon at the KCAC Championships on the campus of York University.
The USM dancers, at the helm of
Kinleigh Brecheisen, worked tirelessly all year to perfect their routines and continued to grow throughout. The comp squad consisting of
Jaeden Abitz,
Natalia Caldwell,
Delilah Jimenez,
Jayden Salb,
Christina Vue,
Kira Wagner, and
Annmarie Walton poured everything they had into their routine at the conference stage, and proudly came home with 4
th place overall and a final score of 78.63.
The top finishing team, the Bethel College Threshers, will get an automatic bid into the 10
th Annual Competitive Cheer and Dance National Championships on Friday, March 27
th through Saturday, March 28
th in Topeka, Kansas. Every other squad, including your Spires, will await their fate in hopes of receiving and at-large bid to compete on the national stage.
