Leavenworth, Kan.— Prince Ntozo of the University of Saint Mary has earned the KCAC Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honor, the conference office announced Monday. Student-athletes are selected for their performances from April 20-26 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by
Athletic Solutions. This marks the fourth time this outdoor season that a Spire athlete has earned this honor.
Prince had a huge outing last weekend at the Kip Janvrin Open hosted by Simpson College in Iowa. The senior finished 4
th overall out of forty-six competing athletes in the 3,000m Steeplechase, battling out a tough finish at 9:15.12 to proudly earn himself a National "A" Standard.
With this, Prince has punched his ticket to the 74
th Annual Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in Asheville, North Carolina next month. Prince is currently ranked No. 1 in the KCAC in the men's Steeplechase and is tied for No. 8 in all of NAIA.
Ntozo and his team will look to continue their reign at the KCAC Outdoor T&F Championships hosted on the campus of Friends University this Thursday, April 30
th through Friday, May 1
st in Wichita.
