Ricardo is from Manta, Ecuador and is the son of Juan Javier Perez and Lelia Valdiviego. He has 3 Siblings, Paula, Luis and Mauvicio

Ricardo completed his Bachelors in sports Management while minoring in Accounting at USM. He is currently completing his Masters in Business Administration.

Ricardo played for the spires as a goalkeeper between 2022-2025, where he showed dominant displays in goal. In 2022, Ricardo was amongst the team to qualify for the NAIA Nationals Tournamnet in 2022 and received Defensive Player of the week recognition in 2025.
