Jay Monhollon entered his first season in 2025 as the University of Saint Mary head softball coach. 

He previously spent 12 years as the head softball coach at Seaman High School in Topeka, Kansas. During his tenure, he led the Vikings to a 225-63 record, one state championship, four conference championships, and nine regional championships. He was a three-time District Coach of the Year and four-time Conference Coach of the Year. Monhollon was also recognized as the Kansas Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 2016 and 2024, NFHS Midwest Regional Coach of the Year in 2016, and NFHS State Coach of the Year in 2016.

Monhollon earned a Bachelor of Education from Washburn University and a Master of Education in School Leadership from Baker University.
