Saint Mary baseball made their second trip to Avila this season. After winning the first matchup this season 11-3, the tables turned yesterday as Avila bested the Spires 4-2 in a nine inning game. Saint Mary is now 7-6 on the season.

Grant Arnold made his first start of the season for Saint Mary. He pitched five innings and gave up just one run. Dennis Martine Pitched in relief and was tagged with the loss. Brett Bearden and Reese Stevenson each had two hits to lead the Spires offensively. Davon Poole stole two bases.
