The Saint Mary women's basketball team traveled to Bellevue, NE this weekend to take on two tough games against Bellevue and #14 Concordia. The Spires came away with two losses and are now 2-6 on the season.
Saint Mary hung tough in the opening game against Bellevue. The Spires were within nine points at halftime, but took a 72-56 loss. Cassidy Harbert had a team high 10 points. Imani White had a team high six rebounds. Saint Mary was held to shooting 28% from the floor.
#14 Concordia would run away with the finale 100-58. Two Spires scored in double figures in the loss. Candy De Los Reyes scored a team high 13 points and forced three steals. Aerreon Parker finished with 10 points. Parker along with Kelsey Switzer and Kiera Tate each had four rebounds.
Saint Mary resumes KCAC play on Thursday at Sterling. The game begins at 6pm.
