Leavenworth, Kan. – The University of Saint Mary women's basketball team looked to get back-to-back wins in conference play but were unable to snag the win Saturday afternoon in Ryan Sports Center. The Spires fell to Bethany, 57-48.
The Spires are now 4-10 overall and 3-8 KCAC.
GAME FLOW
After a slow start on both ends, Saint Mary led 11-10 after the first quarter. Bethany came out hot in the second quarter where they made a pair of threes, one of them being a four point play that allowed the Swedes to take the lead. Despite a double-double by Sienna Brown and solid post play by Dakota Corle and Paige Scheckel, the Spires were unable to come back and grab another win.
