Ottawa, Ks- The University of Saint Mary played the twelfth ranked Ottawa University on the road in their midweek matchup Tuesday and lost 16-1.
The Spires would find themselves down early in Tuesday's game after giving up five runs in the first inning. In the second, Ottawa would score three more runs extending their lead to 8-0. USM would slow down the Brave's offense mid-way through the game, only allowing two runs off one hit. Saint Mary had trouble getting runners in all game, but in the sixth inning, they would get a run across home after Alex Guevara singled to left field. The Braves would score six more runs in the final two innings, making the final score 16-1. Guevara led the Spires on offense, going one for three with an RBI.
