Parkville, Mo- The University of Saint Mary Baseball team had another mid-week matchup against Park University on Wednesday and lost 14-4.
The Spires would get on the board first when Aidan Hartig reached third after an error by the Pirate's center fielder, clearing the bases and making it 3-0 Spires. Park scored two in the first and would keep up the pace, scoring 13 runs in the first four innings. Saint Mary would get one run back in the fourth after Samuel Yancey singled to left field to make the score 13-4. The Pirates would get one more run in the bottom half of the sixth, going up 14-4. Yancey led the Spires on offense, going one for three at the plate with an RBI.

The Spires will be at home for a doubleheader against Bethany College starting at 1 p.m. Saturday in Leavenworth, Kansas.
