Bartlesville, Okla.- The University of Saint Mary Men's Soccer Team traveled to take on the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles, which resulted in a hard-fought 2-3 loss. The Spires are now 4-6-5 overall and 3-4-3 in the KCAC.
The Eagles came into the matchup with the best record in the conference, but the Spires brought the fight to them in the first half. The scoring started with a goal from Oscar Sandoval in the 22nd minute. The goal was Sandoval's second goal of the season. The University of Saint Mary took the 2-0 lead in the 31st minute with a goal by Anthony Rangel. Making it his fifth goal in his last four games, and has nine goals the season.
However, the Spires could not seal the deal, as the Eagles responded in the second half with three unanswered goals. It was a close game down the stretch as Oklahoma Wesleyan took the lead in the 77th minute and held on for the win.

The University of Saint Mary will try and return to the win column at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at Charles J. Berkel Memorial Stadium against the Bethel Threshers.
