Saint Mary conceded the day's first goal after a Doane corner kick snuck past the defense. With under ten minutes to go in the first half, Doane found the back of the net for the third and final time on the day.
The Spires had multiple changes at the start of the second half with two set pieces and a shot on goal from Guilherme Caldas that was blocked by the Tiger's defense. With just nine seconds left in regulation time, Nicco Lopez scored for Saint Mary to tie the game at 3-3.
