Bartlesville, Okla.-Spire soccer hit the road Wednesday and faced a tough defeat against the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles with a final score of 7-1 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
The Spires struggled to contain the aggressive play of the Eagles. The first half was dominated by Oklahoma Wesleyan with Isabelle Simoneau opening the scoring. Her goal set the pace for the game, and she eventually scored the game-winning goal. Further goals from Eagles were scored by Wendy Jimenez, who scored twice including a penalty kick, Tessa Edwards, Ana Chavez, and Frederiekke Nielsen. The Eagles' offensive play was supported by assists from Linn Joelsson, Wendy Jimenez, Kylie Reif, and Laura Gieseler.
The Spires came out with determination in the second half when senior
Andrea Morando, supported by an impressive setup from her teammates, scored for Saint Mary. Despite this effort, the defense was unable to hold back the aggressive offense, leading to the final 7-1 scoreline.

Avah Casarez, started the first half with 4 saves, followed by
Angelica Quintana-Aficial in the second half.
Katie Hartley also made a noted appearance, playing for 21 minutes during the game.
