The University of Saint Mary Spires Women's soccer triumphed in a bit match up against the Briar Cliff Chargers on Saturday, September 13th in Sioux City, Iowa. The match concluded with a bold 2-0 victory for the Spires.

During the first half, both teams displayed solid defensive efforts, leaving the scoreline at 0-0 by halftime. The Spires, under the vigilant watch of goalie Avah Casarez, managed to keep the Chargers at bay throughout the tense first half.

The game's dynamic shifted in the second half when Nieves Vazquez broke the deadlock at 69:35 with a crucial goal, putting Saint Mary ahead. This momentum was further capitalized by Sadie Dipman, who scored at 81:55, securing the win for the Spires. Both Vazquez and Dipman were acknowledged for their critical contributions to the team's success, with no assists recorded for either goal.
