Spire Women's Soccer Secure Draw Against the Bluejays

In a KCAC matchup on Saturday afternoon, the University of Saint Mary Spires women's soccer team faced off against the Tabor Bluejays at Leavenworth, Kansas. Under cloudy skies, the game concluded in a 1-1 draw, showcasing strong performances from both teams.

The first half saw early action with Natalie Flores scoring a goal for the Spires at just 8:30 into the game. This solo goal held up throughout the first half, giving the Spires a 1-0 lead at halftime.

In the second half, Tabor responded with a goal from Haven Deckinger at the 57th minute, assisted by Porsha Zweifel, leveling the score. Both teams had further opportunities, but the goalies, Avah Casarez of USM and Neve Mulrooney of Tabor, made key saves to maintain the deadlock. Casarez ended the game with 7 impressive saves, while Mulrooney made 3.
